VIXSOUND has three subscription plans: Starter at $9/month, Studio at $29/month, and Ultra at $79/month. Every plan includes a 7-day free trial (500 AI credits — not the full monthly allowance), access to the in-Ableton chat assistant, MIDI generation, local stem separation, audio analysis, and audio-to-MIDI transcription. The plans differ on monthly credit allowance and whether Pro mode (a more capable AI model tuned for advanced reasoning) is unlocked.

How do producers do this manually in Ableton?

A typical song-building prompt uses about 35–40 credits. Under the hood: chat is 1 credit per ~1,000 tokens per AI round, stem separation is 10 credits per file, audio analysis is 2, and audio-to-MIDI is 5. Counters reset on the 1st of every UTC month.

Is there a free trial?
Yes — two ways to try VIXSOUND. The 7-day free trial (recommended): pick any plan, add a payment method, get 500 AI credits for 7 days, and cancel anytime before day 8 with no charge. Or start with 100 free credits and no card — enough for a short evaluation, then upgrade when you're ready. The 100-credit path is not the 7-day trial.
What's the difference between the 7-day trial and 100 free credits?
The 7-day trial is a Stripe trial on a paid plan: payment method required, 500 credits, full feature access for 7 days, cancel anytime before you're charged. The 100 free credits option lets you create an account with no card — useful for a quick look, but multi-step Ableton tasks can use that balance quickly. For a fair evaluation of your workflow, start the 7-day trial.
What is a credit?
Credits meter usage. A typical song-building prompt (multi-step Ableton work) uses about 35–40 credits in Light mode — roughly 25 sessions on Starter, ~100 on Studio, ~300 on Ultra. Under the hood, chat costs 1 credit per ~1,000 tokens per AI round; stem separation is 10 credits per file; audio analysis is 2; audio-to-MIDI is 5. Pro mode (Studio + Ultra) bills chat at 2.5× Light for harder reasoning.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Credits reset on the 1st of every calendar month UTC. If you're approaching your limit, the chat will warn you. Prefer upgrading to the next plan for better value; on paid plans you can also enable Extra Usage at $0.03/credit with a monthly cap you control.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade any time from the dashboard. Upgrades apply immediately and prorate the remaining billing period; downgrades take effect at the next renewal so you don't lose paid time.
Is annual billing cheaper?
Yes. Annual billing saves about 17% on Studio and Ultra, and about 22% on Starter, vs paying monthly. The credit allowance is the same per month, just paid up front.
Do I own the music I make with VIXSOUND?
Yes — 100%. VIXSOUND generates MIDI, which your DAW renders through your own instruments. There are no royalties, no attribution requirements, and no restrictions on releasing or selling. Your audio also stays on your machine — stem separation and audio analysis run locally.
Which OS and DAW versions are supported?
macOS 12+ on Apple Silicon and Intel, plus Windows 10/11 (64-bit) in public beta. Ableton Live 11 and Live 12, both Standard and Suite. Logic Pro is on the waitlist.
